Shubhdeeep Singh Sidhu aka Sidhu Moose wala was an Indian Punjabi singer, rapper as well politician. Recently, he had joined the Congress and Indian National Congress gave him a ticket from Mansa assembly constituency.
Early Life & Biography
Sidhu Moose Wala was born on 11 June,1993 in village Moosa, Mansa District of Punjab. His father Bhola Singh and Mother Charan Kaur is Sarpanch of Moosa Village.He was the single child of his family. He did his graduation in electrical from Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana. Since childhood time he was interested in listening hip-hop music and Harvinder Bittu taught him music in Ludhiana. After graduation he was moved to Brampton, Ontario,Canada.
Career
He began his career in singing from song “G Wagon”. After that he was follow up with stage shows in Canada. Moose Wala’s breakthrough came in 2017 with the song “So High,” a gangster rap collaboration with Byg Byrd. He built on his success with singles such as “Issa Jatt,” “Tochan,” “Selfmade,” “Famous,” and “Warning Shots.” He was nominated for Best New Age Sensation at the 2018 PTC Punjabi Music Awards for “Issa Jatt.”
In August 2018, he released “Dollar,” his first film soundtrack song, for the film Dakuaan Da Munda. Moose Wala released his debut album PBX 1 in the pop music genre with a touch of hip-hop in October 2018. His single “47,” which featured Mist and Stefflon Don, reached the top 20 on the UK Singles Chart. In 2019, he was named one of the most popular artists in Punjab by Spotify, alongside Maninder Buttar and Karan Aujla.
In 2020, he appeared in Prem Dhillon’s song “Old Skool.” Following the song were several singles, including “911” and “8 Cylinder.” Moose Wala announced his second studio album, Snitches Get Stitches, on his Instagram handle in May 2020. On his mother’s birthday, he released his single “Dear Mama” in the same month. He collaborated with Amrit Maan on the song “Bambiha Bole” in June 2020. On the Apple Music chart, the song reached number one in India and entered the top 50 in Canada and New Zealand.
Moose Wala’s third studio album, Moosetape, with 32 tracks, was released in May 2021. He performed with British rapper Mist at the Wireless Festival in London on September 12, 2021. Moose Wala’s debut EP No Name, which featured AR Paisley, Mr. Capone-E, and Sunny Malton, debuted at No. 73 on Billboard Top Canadian Albums in April 2022.
