Mark Edward Fischbach aka Markiplier is an American gamer, actor, comedian. He is also a co founder of clothing company Cloak with fellow youtuber Jacksepticeye, is a Distractible Podcast co-host, alongside LordMinion777 and Muyskerm, and co-hosted the now-defunct Unus Annus channel.
Early Life & Biography
Markiplier was born on 28 June, 1989 in Honolulu to parents Cliffton M. Fischbach and Sunok. His father was a German -American stationed in Hawaii at that time and mother is a native Korean. He has one older brother Jason Thomas Fischbach. After Markiplier’s birth his family moved to Cincinnati, Ohio. He completed his school education from Milford High School where he was a member of school’s marching band and played trumpet. He started his education from University of Cincinnati, but he dropped out to pursue the degree for his youtube career. His channel has over 17.9 billion total video views and over 32.5 million subscribers as of May 2022.
Career
He started his youtube career on March 6, 2012 with the name “Markiplier” and in same year on 4 April he uploaded his first video. Mark originally planned to upload sketch comedy and other types of comedic videos to his channel. However, he soon began to incorporate gaming videos into his YouTube mix.Mark is well-known for his gameplay videos of indie and horror video games such as “Amnesia: The Dark Descent,” “Slender: The Eight Pages,” and “Surgeon Simulator.” Mark posts a number of sketch comedy videos in addition to his gaming videos, which make up the majority of his channel. He works with other well-known YouTubers such as Crankgameplays, Jacksepticeye, LordMinion777, Muyskerm, PewDiePie, Matthias, Game Grumps, and others. LixianTV, one of those YouTube stars, has worked as Mark’s editor.

Mark took a brief break from YouTube in 2018 after his step-niece, Miranda, was tragically killed in a car accident at the age of 19. He posted a video explaining that he would be unable to make videos for a while, and he also had Miranda’s father Mark on his channel.
Mark has also ventured beyond YouTube. He has appeared in “Smosh: The Movie,” TomSka’s “asdfmovie” series, “Five Nights at Freddy’s: The Musical,” and “Gamer’s Guide to Pretty Much Everything” on Disney XD. Mark has also appeared on YouTube’s 2015 and 2016 Rewind playlists.
Mark announced his new venture in 2019, “A Heist With Markiplier,” a YouTube Originals production. It’s a story with multiple endings. The series has over 30 different endings and features popular gaming YouTubers such as Game Grumps and Rosanna Pansino.
