Kartik Aaryan is an Indian actor and model who started his acting debut while he was pursuing his engineering degree in year 2011. After completion of degree he appeared in many movies-Akassh Vani(2013), Kaanchi:The Unbreakable(2014), Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2(2015), Guest in London(2017), Soni Ki Titu Ki Sweety(2018), Silvat(2018), Lika Chuppi(2019), Pati Patni Aur Woh(2019), Love Aaj Kal 2(2020), Dhamaka(2021), Bhool Bhuliya 2(2021). Other than movies he also co-hosted many events and endorsed with various brands too.

Kartik Aaryan or Kartik Tiwari was born on 22 November 1990 in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. He completed his school education from St Paul’s School and Kiddy’s School, Gwalior. For higher education he went to D. Y Patil College of Engineering , Navi Mumbai for pursuing engineering degree in Bioetchnology. He was very ambitious for a career in the film industry. He started his career in the modelling. So when he was in third year of degree , Aaryan made his acting debut with Luv Ranjan’s film ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’. The film emerged as a sleeper hit and he received a nomination for Producers Guild Film Award for the Best Male Debut. Kartik’s parents both are doctors, father Dr Manish Tiwari(Paediatrician) and mother Dr Mala Tiwari(Gynaecologist).
Career
After release of Pyar Ka Punchnama , 2 years later he got another movie ‘Akaash Vaani’ . Sudhish Kamath of The Hindu praised the film for exploring chauvinism in India which is a rare concept for Hindi film. Subhash Ghai was impressed by Aryan and give opportunity in their movie- ‘ Kaanchi:The Unbreakable ’.Both movies Kaanchi and Akaash Vani did not perform well commercially. In year 2015 he starred in Pyar Ka Punchnama 2, in movie he delivered an even longer , seven minute single-shot monologue. Pyaar Ka punchnama 2 hit great success commercially. From this movie Kartik Aryan won a Stardust Award for Best Actor in comic role.
Next movie he got ‘Silvat’ where he played the role of muslim boy who falls in love with an older woman. Then followed by another movie-’Guest in London’ along with co-actors Paresh Rawal and Kriti Kharbanda. Next he got hit success in year 2018 in movie -’Soni Ki Titu ki Sweety’ along with Nushrat Bharucha and Sunny Singh in the lead roles of Sonu , Sweety, and Titu. This movie marks the fourth collaboration of Nushrat and Kartik with Luv Ranjan. This movie became a superstar blockbuster.
Then he apperaed in ‘Luka Chuppi’ with co-start Kriti Sanon, filmed in his hometown Gwalior. Next he starred with Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Pandey in ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’ , a remake of 1978 film of same name. These both two films commercially successful. In year 2020 he debut in romantic comedy drama film-’Love Aaj Kal’ directed by Imtiaz Ali along with the co-actors- Sara Ali Khan. In year 2021 he appeared in ‘Dhamaka’ and in horror comedy movie- ’Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ with Kiara Advani and Tabu. In this year 2022, he was scheduled for’ Shehzaada’ and ‘Freddy.
Other Work
He also hosted 2018 IIFA awards with Ayushmann Khurana and in 2019 hosted with Vicky Kaushal Zee Cine Award. Aryan endorse with numerous international brands from designer wear to affordable clothing F & B brands, luxury products, accessories.
