Jeon Jungkook is South Korean singer and songwriter. He is famous from his Korean Boys Brand Group.
Jungkook was born on 1 September 1997 in Busan, South Korea. In his family, parents and one elder brother. He completed his schooling from Baekyang Elementary and Middle School in Busan. For training he shifted to Singu Middle School in Seoul. From childhood he was interested in singing and want to become a singer. In 2011, Jungkook participated in the Daegu auditions for the South Korean talent programme Superstar K. Despite not being chosen, he received casting offers from seven other entertainment businesses. After seeing RM, currently his fellow band member and leader in BTS, perform, he decided to become a trainee under Big Hit Entertainment. During the summer of 2012, he travelled to Los Angeles to acquire dance instruction at Movement Lifestyle in preparation for his debut. Before his debut, he worked as a backup dancer for Glam and starred in Jo Kwon’s “I’m Da One” music video in June 2012. In 2017, he graduated from Seoul’s School of Performing Arts, an arts high school. He graduated from Global Cyber University’s Department of Broadcasting and Entertainment in March 2022. He received the school’s top distinction, the President’s Award.
With the release of the track 2 Cool 4 Skool, Jungkook made his debut as a member of BTS. He has three solo songs under BTS; the first, the pop single “Begin” from the 2016 album Wings, described his narrative of relocating to Seoul at a young age to become an idol and expresses his thanks to his fellow members for looking after him during that time. The second, “Euphoria,” a future bass song with an accompanying nine-minute short film, was released on April 5, 2018, as the prelude to the third instalment of BTS’ “Love Yourself” series. The band’s third single, “My Time,” is a strobing R&B ballad about foregoing teenage experiences because of his work, and it charted at number 84 on the US Billboard Hot 100 in 2020. The President of South Korea awarded Jungkook (together with the rest of the BTS members) the fifth-class Hwagwan Order of Cultural Merit on October 25, 2018. President Moon Jae-in, along with the other members of BTS, appointed him Special Presidential Envoy for Future Generations and Culture in July 2021 to help “lead the global agenda for future generations, such as sustainable growth,” and “expand South Korea’s diplomatic efforts and global standing” in the international community. Jungkook took part in the “One Dream, One Korea” campaign in September 2015, collaborating on a song with a number of other Korean singers in honour of the Korean War. Jungkook made his acting debut in the pilot episode of Flower Crew in 2016. He also made an appearance on Celebrity Bromance and competed in King of Mask Singer as “Fencing Man” in episode 72. During the MBC Plus X Genie Music Awards on November 6, 2018, Jungkook performed “We Don’t Talk Anymore” with original singer Charlie Puth in a unique collaboration stage. He had already covered the song twice, once alone and once with fellow BTS member Jimin. As part of BTS’ yearlong debut celebrations, Jungkook released the song “Still With You” for free on platforms like SoundCloud on June 4, 2020. Jungkook sang the soundtrack for 7fates Chakho, a new BTS-based webtoon, in February 2022. The song “Stay Alive,” produced by fellow BTS member Suga, earned Jungkook his first solo Billboard Hot 100 entry at number 95, as well as his first solo Billboard Global Excl. U.S chart entry at number eight.
