Ileana D’Cruz is an Indian film actress and model, was born to catholic father named Ronaldo D’Cruz andmuslim mother named Samira D’Cruz on Sunday, 1st November 1987 in Mahim, Mumbai, India. Later she moved to Goa with her family. Her father Ronaldo is a mechanical draftsman and her mother Samira is a designer.She has three siblings, two sisters and a brother, an elder sister Farrah D’Cruz and a younger sister named Eileen D’Cruz. Her brother’s name is Rhys D’Cruz. She did her schooling at St.Xaviers Higher Secondary School, Mapusa, Goa, and graduated from the University of Mumbai, Mumbai.In 2003, at the age of 16, she started her career in modeling, and her first portfolio was created in January 2003, which was created by Marc Robinson was a disaster. After that, She did several TV advertisements like Fair & Lovely, Emami Talc, Electrolux, etc.In 2005, she joined the Aruna Bhikshu Acting School in Hyderabad, Telangana to nourish her acting skills. During this period, she was called for an audition by director Teja, but the project was canceled.
In year 2005, she gave audition but the project was cancelled. In year 2006, she made her feature film debut in Telugu langauge romance film Devadasu. The film become the year’s first commercial successful Telugu film and from movie Ileana received the Filmfare award for Best Female Debutant. Then next she appeared in gangster film Pokiri in which she played the role of aerobics teacher who is harassed by a corrupt police officer. Then she made her Tamil-language film in Kedi, but the movie was not go well. Same year she apperaed in Telugu film Khatarnak opposite Ravi Teja. Later she appeared in Rakhi and Munna moview which were financially successful. D’Cruz made his acting debut in the 2007 film Aata.

Trivikram Srinivas wrote and directed her next film, Julayi, an action comedy. D’cruz played Madhu opposite Allu Arjun in the film. Puri Jagannadh’s comedy Devudu Chesina Manushulu was her next role. She performed the character of a taxi driver in this film. With Anurag Basu’s Barfi!, D’Cruz made her Hindi debut. She played Shruti Ghosh, a girl who abandons her real love for the sake of financial luxuries, in addition to the narrator part. D’Cruz’s performance was praised, garnering her a nomination for a Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut and a nod for a Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress.She then starred alongside Shahid Kapoor in Rajkumar Santoshi’s action comedy Phata Poster Nikhla Hero.

Randeep Hooda and Ileana D’Cruz play the key roles in the film. The movie will look into India’s obsession with fair skin.
