Biography

Emma Rose  Roberts  was born on 10 February, 1991 in  Rhineback, New York . Her parents  are  Eric Roberts  and  Kelly  Cunningham. After her birth when she was 7 months old her parents divorced. She is the stepdaughter of  Eliza Roberts.  Though her mother’s  marriage she is  the step daughter of  musician  Kelly Nickels.  Grace, her maternal half-sister, is her younger maternal half-sister. Her paternal grandmother was Betty Lou Bredemus, an acting coach, and her aunts are Julia Roberts and Lisa Roberts Gillan, both actresses. Roberts spent time as a child on the sets of her aunt Julia’s films. Her desire to follow in the footsteps of her father and aunts into the film industry was spurred by these events. Her mother had hoped for a normal childhood for her daughter.

Career

Roberts made her acting debut at the age of nine in Ted Demme’s drama picture Blow, released in 2001. It was her first time auditioning for a film.
