Biography
Ramirez was born on 8 November, 1979 in Santo Domingo to parents Daniel Ramirez and Agueda Camocho. At the age of 15 she was cast in a small part in a soda commercial. Laterly, she started pursuing acting and studied at the Actor’s workshop in New York City under Flo Greenberg. Then she joined Montclair State University and completed her graduation in 2001. Then she moved to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career.
Career
In year 1998-2007 she appeared in the music videos including Jay-Z’s Streets is Watching, De La Soul’s “All Good? feat. Chaka Khan , LL Cool J’s “Hush” , Santana’s “Into the Night”, “Cry Baby Cry” (a collaboration of Santana and Sean Paul). She appeared in the Wisin and Yandel’s music video “Dime Qué Te Pasó”, in which she played the main character, the wife and mother of a military man in Iraq who finds out her husband died at war. Ramirez made her film debut as an extra in HBO’s Subway Stories (1997), where she met filmmaker Spike Lee, who would subsequently cast her in She Hate Me (2004). In the film Fat Albert, she played the older sister “Laurie” (2004). In the comic book film X-Men: The Last Stand, she played Callisto (one of The Omegas) (2006). In 2008, she starred in The 5th Commandment, a film written and directed by Rick Yune. In 2012, Ramirez starred in two films: American Reunion and Premium Rush, in which she played Selena and a bicycle messenger, respectively.
Ramirez played Caridad, a minor character in the final episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Blanca Selgado, a recurring character on The Sopranos during season six. On the television show Heroes, Ramirez portrayed Maya Herrera. On the fifth episode of Cycle 14 of America’s Next Top Model, she served as a guest judge. In season seven of the TV show Entourage, she guest featured as Alex, a Turtle’s employee who initiates a romance with Turtle. She was a prominent cast member of Devious Maids, which aired on the Lifetime network for four seasons from 2013 to 2016. Rosie Falta, one of the series’ key characters and titular protagonists, was played by her. Ramirez was cast as a series regular in Once Upon a Time’s softly-rebooted final season in July 2017. She played Jacinda Vidrio, the real-life counterpart of the second Cinderella in the series. In 2018, Ramirez was cast in another fairytale-themed drama for CBS All Access, Tell Me a Story. Hannah Perez was played by Ramirez, who was loosely modelled on Gretel from Hansel and Gretel.

Dania was in relationship with director Jessy Terrero till year 2008. Then she started dating director John Beverly in year 2011 and couple married on February 16, 2013 on the beach in Punta Cana. She is the stepmother of Kai Miles. In year 2013 she announced that she was pregnant with twins and gave birth to a son – John and a daughter- Gaia.
