Anushka Sharma is an Indian actress, Model and Film producer. She made her debut with Shahrukh Khan blockbuster hit film Rab Ne Bna Di Jodi and won the Filmfare Best Actress Award.


Anushka Sharma was born in Ayodhya, Uttar Pardesh dated 1 May, 1988. His father Ajay Kumar Sharma is an army officer and mother Aashima Sharma is a housemaker. She spend her childhood in Dehradun, Sheela Bhawan of Naishvilla road. Her father is from Uttar Pradesh and mother is Garhwali. She has one elder brother Karnesh Sharma who is a film producer, earlier he was serving for Merchant Navy. She was raised in Bangalore. She did her primary schooling at St Mary’s School Margherita ,Assam. She was the classmate of Sakshi Dhoni, wife of M. S Dhoni. After thar she attended school at Army School, Bangalore. Then she did her graduation in arts from Mount Carmel College Bangalore. She was interested to pursue her career in modelling and journalism. After graduation, Sharma moved to Mumbai to further her modelling career. She enrolled herself at the Elite Model Management, and was groomed by the style consultant Prasad Bidapa. In 2007, she was picked to finale model at the Spring Summer 2007 Collection at the Lakme Fashion Week for designer Wendell Rodrick’s Les Wamps Show.

She played Akira Rai, a Discovery Channel reporter with dreams of becoming a documentary filmmaker. She got the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance. Same year she teamed with Yash Raj Films for the eighth time in Sui Dhaaga, a comedy-drama co-starring Varun Dhawan, about a poor, young couple who begin their own small-scale clothing industry.She received a nomination for the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress. Her final film appearance of the year was in Zero, with Shahrukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. The movie was commercial failure. Anushka Sharma produced the horror film Bulbbul for Netflix and worked as executive producer for her company’s crime thriller series Paatal Lok, which was launched on Amazon Prime Video in 2020.


Anushka was in a relationship with cricketer Virat Kohli . Both are in a relationship for 2-3 years before getting married. Virat and Anushka married on 11 December, 2017. Couple had blessed with a baby girl on 11 January, 2021.
