Biography
Aimee Garcia was born on 28 November,1978 in Chicago, Illinois. She is the daughter of Eloisa(mother) from Pachuca, Hidalgo and Hector(father) from San Juan, Puerto Rico served in the United States military. At the age of 7 she started participation in the theatre. She attended chool Fenwick High School in Oak Park, Illinois. During schooling she joined acting training at Piven Theatre workshop. From Northwestern university she was graduated in economics, journalism, french. With classes she also appeared in local plays and musicals. After completion of graduation she did finance work for a mutual fund analyst in Brooklyn, New York. Then she moved to Los Angeles, California and started career in acting.

She appeared in the unaired pilot episode of Global Frequency and as Maria on The WB’s Greetings from Tucson. She appeared in the Disney Channel original film Cadet Kelly (2002) and co-starred in the WB sitcom All About the Andersons as Lydia alongside Anthony Anderson. She first appeared on George Lopez’s show in 2006, playing Lopez’s niece. Garcia co-starred in the comedy-drama Major Movie Star with Jessica Simpson (2008). She also appeared in D-War (2007) as a minor character and narrated Adam Sandler’s film Spanglish (2004). She played EMT helicopter pilot Marisa Benez on Peter Berg’s NBC medical drama Trauma from 2009 to 2010.
Garcia was nominated for a SAG Award for Best Ensemble in a Dramatic Television Series for her role as Jamie Batista on Showtime’s Dexter. In MGM’s reboot film RoboCop, she played Dr. Jae Kim (2014). Garcia joined the main cast of the Fox television series Lucifer for the second season in 2016, playing LAPD forensic scientist Ella Lopez. Garcia featured in the independent film El Chicano in 2019, and The Hollywood Reporter praised her “vivid impression” in the film. Garcia formed a writing partnership with AJ Mendez, a former professional wrestler, in 2019. GLOW vs. The Babyface, a comic book series based on the television show GLOW, was their first project; the first of four issues was published by IDW Publishing in November 2019.
Scrappy Heart Productions, a production company dedicated to elevating diverse voices through storytelling, was founded by them in 2020. They went on to co-write the four-issue Dungeons & Dragons limited series At the Spine of the World, which was released by IDW in November 2020.
