Elegant muscle-head
Just in time for the highlight of the tuning year – the Essen Motor Show from November 29 to December 08, 2013 – the tuning experts of Prior-Design from Kamp-Lintfort are causing quite a stir in the sector with one spectacular retrofitting after the other.
This bodywork construction kit has been completed in a brand new fashion for the latest Mercedes Benz CLS generation of the W218 construction series. The PD550 Black Edition kit transforms the gorgeous coupé limousine into a brute sportive-looking power pack without compromising the harmonic lines of the CLS.
In addition to a completely new bumper bar with huge air openings for optimized supply of fresh air to the engine and the brake system, the front section of the CLS also has a new engine hood with power domes and two small openings for the disposal of used engine air. A set of completely new front fenders and massive side skirts have clearly endowed the CLS with more broadness. The latter flows harmonically through the new rear bumper bar into the diffusor optics. The company’s own sports exhaust system with valve control is integrated therein with two trapezoidal end-pipes right and left respectively. A trunk cover spoiler ensures more downforce under high speed conditions.
The company’s own Prior-Design rims rotate in the wheel houses in the dimension 9x20 inches in front and 10.5x20 inches in the rear. The originally constructed air suspension of the CLS was modified through an electronic control module in such a way that a perfect draft is individually adjustable at all times.
