Wimmer of Solingen Germany specializes in performance upgrades, especially ones related to power output, like chip tuning and turbo/supercharger conversions. Here they start with a Mercedes-AMG C63 S, a car that in stock form puts out 503 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque, and has bumped it to a staggering 790 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque, with an output just shy of 200 hp per liter. The power to weight ratio plummets from 7.2 lbs per hp down to 4.6 lbs per hp.
The performance is boosted thanks to upgraded turbochargers, along with work done to the intercooler, fuel pump, and nozzles. A Wimmer stainless steel exhaust with throttle system and a Y pipe with sports cats allow a smoother flowing exhaust. A pair of BMC air filters also increases air flow, and an additional water pump is installed. The station wagon is fitted with a KW coilover suspension system riding on BBS rims; 9x20 up front with 245/30-20 tires; and wider 10x20 wheels with 265/20-30 in the rear.
The cost of the entire conversion is €29,500.
