America at the moment, the Lotus Elise is one of the premiere contemporary examples of
the type of lightweight sports car which the British seem to excel in
making. Weighing only a little over 1600 lbs, the Lotus takes the
low-road to obtaining a suitable power-weight ratio. The result is a
