2017 smart vision EQ fortwo

Car sharing is already established in many parts of the world, with car2go having 2.6 million customers worldwide. For tens of millions if not hundreds of millions of people living in urban settings, car sharing simply makes sense. The smart vision EQ fortwo is a futuristic but reasonable concept of what a car optimized for this type of transport would be like.

For starters, the vision EQ features autonomous driving. Assuming the autonomous driving is sufficiently capable, this already reduces or elminates some of the concerns with car sharing programs, such as driver error, picking up the car, and even fueling/charging. The electric vision EQ can find dock to the power grid on its own to recharge as needed. The car does not have to be picked up or brought back to a specific location, as it can do this on its own, and thanks to swarm intelligence and communication, sharing access is optimized to minimize any wait time.

The two-seater is also available for two separate users whose route overlap, which should lower the cost. Passengers can also be suggested based on their profiles and shared interests.
