2017 Mercedes-AMG GT Concept

The Mercedes-AMG GT Concept is a showcase for both the upcoming four-door variant of the beautiful Mercedes-AMG GT, as well as the latest in hybrid design from the company. Taking its technical cues from the Mercedes-AMG Petronas hybrid Formula 1 car, the 4 liter V8 with twin turbochargers is combined with a full hybrid system to produce an 805 hp four-door coupe that can do 0-62 mph in less than 3 seconds.

The front and rear draw an obvious styline continuity with the current AMG-GT, but they are not quite identical. The headlights are narrower and sharper, and a three-dimensional light cord with "nano active fiber technology" operates as daytime running lights. The Panamericana grille with verticle ribs are painted red on their sides, matching the bodywork. The side view mirrors have been replaced with mirror cams.

The car can be driven in three modes: electric only, gas engine only, or combined for hybrid power. The AMG 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive is supported by the electric motor, and every wheel can be allocated torque individually.
