2018 McLaren MSO R

McLaren Special Operations is focused on bespoke creations derived from the McLaren lineup. For one unnamed client, MSO has created this pair of cars based on the 675LT and 675LT Spider.

The cars feature a number of aerodynamic and styling changes relative to the 675LT, with the front bumper, hood, louvered fenders, wiper scuttle, side mirror arms & casings, rear deck, and roof scoop are finished in visible carbon fiber grain. The splitter, side skirts, sill panels, and plenum are MSO R branded. One standout feature is the twin-element rear wing with front dive planes.

The cars are painted in Liquid Silver, with a satin finish on the Coupe and a gloss finish on the Spider. The wheels are finished in satin black on the Coupe, and gloss black on the Spider. Both cars feature pinstriping in Delta Red on the front splitter and side blades, a color that is echoed in the interior with a Delta Red centering stripe on the steering wheel.

Speaking of the interior, it is heavily outfitted with Alcantara in black with red stitching, a design that is reversed for the seats, which are red wtih black stitching.

Power comes from a M838TL twin-turbocharged V8 that has been blueprinted with the heads and exhaust ports hand-polished. The end result is an engine the produces 679 hp and 516 lb-ft.
