2017 Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Cabriolet

In 2016, the Daimler company showed their continuing commitment to the Maybach brand with the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Coupe Concept which debuted at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. This year, the company showcases the Cabriolet version of the same concept at the same venue.

This futuristic car with art deco themes features a very long body for a 2 seater, with both an enormous hood and long spacious trunk. Painted in Nautical Blue Metallic, the styling is reminiscent of a luxury motor boat. Fitting the car's large dimensions are tall 24" light-alloy wheels with a rose gold center lock.

The interior is if anything even more striking, with a design reminiscent of yesterday's tomorrows, the futuristic visions of a past age. A long light wing embraces the interior space, beginning from behind the seats and running through the doors and meeting at the dashboard. The quilted, white nappa leather seats that drape luxuriously over the console feature Mercedes star buttons that are backlit in blue. The console features a transparent section with a blue fiber optic art piece. An open pore wood floor with aluminum inlays emphasize the connection to boating.

The 750 hp Mercedes-Maybach 6 obtains its power from four compact permanent magnet synchronous electric motor at each wheel, while the flat battery occupies the underbody. It achieves an acceleration of 0-62 mph in less than 4 seconds, and has a range of over 300 miles according to NEDC calculations, and over 200 miles according to the EPA. The system has a charging capacity of up to 350 kW, which in only 5 minutes can provide enough charging for an addition 62 miles.
