2017 Lotus Evora Sport 410

Thousands of hours of development work are behind the new Evora Sport 410, the latest high-performance variant of the 2+2 Lotus. This uncompromising Evora in fact sacrifices the rear seats for a 2+0 configuration, all part of an extreme regimen of weight-cutting which includes the extensive use of hand made carbon fiber parts. The front splitter, front access panel, roof section, quarter panels, rear diffuser and tailgate have been revised for the Sport 410. Ditto for the carbon fiber sport seats, which save 20 lbs each. Total weight savings exceeds 154 lbs, for a total weight of 2921 lbs.

The supercharged 3.5 liter V6 is found in other Lotuses like the Exige Sport 380, but here it is in highest state of tune, producing a full 410 hp. The Evora can reach 60 mph in 3.9 seconds, on up to a top speed of 190 mph. A manual six-speed transmission with low-inertia flywheel for swift gear changes is standard, while a six-speed automatic with paddle shifters is available as an option.

The car body has been lowered 5 mm on a recalibrated suspension with re-valved dampers. The car rests on 10 spoke forged aluminum wheels and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.
