2017 Lexus Sriracha IS

Sriracha is a hot sauce made from chili peppers, vinegar, garlic, sugar, and salt. It may have originated in the city Sri Racha on the coast of Thailand, hence the name. Sriracha became popular in North America as a sauce produced by Huy Fong Foods, a California company founded by David Tran.

Lexus has based this concept on Sriracha sauce, with the car colored in Sriracha Red with chili-like flakes. Perhaps the most whimsical feature is a liquid mimicking Sriracha which was cast in resin and made into the car's steering wheel.

Along with the signature color, green accents are added in line with Huy Fong Foods products. The grille outline, brake calipers, interior lighting, chrome mirror accents, and hand stitching on the seat are finished in bottle-cap green. The leather seats are hand-embroidered with both the Huy Fong rooster logo and the Sriracha IS log.

Both the seat warmers and heating system have been upgraded to go from cool to hot to Sriracha hot.
