2018 Ferrari FXX-K Evo

For those who thought the LaFerrari and the track-oriented FXX-K just weren't enough, Ferrari has upped the ante yet again. The FXX-K Evo is powered by a naturally-aspirated 6.3 liter hybrid V12 with an output of 1036 hp and over 664 lb-ft of torque. The power output is the same as the FXX-K, but where the real improvements have been made is in the aerodynamics.

Over a year of development and wind tunnel testing contributed to a new aerodynamic package with downforce numbers nearly matching those of race cars competing in GT3 and GTE. At 124 mph, it has 1411 lbs of downforce, and at the vehicle's top speed, downforce reaches a very high 1830 lbs. This is a 23% improvement on the FXX-K, and an impressive 75% increase on the LaFerrari road car.

One addition that contributes to the added downforce by a twin-profile fixed tail wing working with the active rear spoiler which has been reprogrammed for the new aerodynamics. The rear wing is supported by two side fins and a central vertical fin for added stability. The three delta vortex generators clean the flow field from the effects of the hot air flow from the radiator vents on the hood.

No performance figures have been released as of yet. The FXX-K Evo will be available both as an upgrade for the previous XX cars, as well as a separate limited-run production model.
