2017 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport Indianapolis 500 Pace Car

For 2017, a Chevrolet Corvette will pace the Indianapolis 500 for the 14th time since 1978. No other car has paced the famous race more than the Chevrolet Corvette.

The Pace Car is based on the Corvette Grand Sport with a 460 hp engine backed up by an 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. The Grand Sport is capable of a 0-60 mph time of 3.5 seconds, a top speed of 195 mph, and take corners at 1.2g.

It features Grand Sport 19x10 wheels riding 285/30ZR19 tires up front, and 20x12 wheels in the rear. It has the Z07 package with Brembo Carbon Ceramic brakes with large 15.5 inch rotors & six-piston calipers in the front, and 15.3 inch rotors with four-piston calipers in the rear. Other features include carbon fiber ground effects and of course, an Indy 500 graphics package.
