2017 Bentley EXP 12 Speed 6e Concept

2 years ago at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, Bentley debuted the Bentley EXP 12 Speed 6e, a stylish and mildly futuristic two door coupe. The same basic design returns this year at Geneva, but as an electric convertible. The stated intent of the earlier EXP was an early look at a potential Bentley sports car, one to slot alongside the GT grand touring lineup.

There are a few detail differences in the new car, such as the open steering wheel with buttons on each end, with one allowing for an immediate power boost, and the other with the ability to limit speed. Someting like the "Eat Me" cookie and the "Drink Me" potion in Alice in Wonderland, with one making you bigger, and the other smaller.

Another detail difference is that the side view mirrors are now small wings with cameras.

What remains basically the same is a sleekly bodied car with a sumptuous, mostly leather interior, and details like the diamond patterning in the headlights matching that on the wooden inner doors and the seat stitching.

Details remain scanty on the electric engine or output, except that they promise grand touring range and rapid inductive charging.
