2017 Audi Q8 Concept

The roomy Q8 Concept is an early look at next year's production car and future flagship of Audi's SUV lineup.

Power comes from a 3 liter TFSI V6 producing 333 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque, but combined with an electric motor, total output leaps to 443 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. That power is backed up with an 8-speed tiptronic transmission that sends power to all 4 wheels thanks to the quattro permanent AWD. The hybrid design contributes to the car's long range of 621 miles.

The Q8 rides massive 23" wheels with 305/35 tires, and sports similarly large 20" ceramic disc brakes for effective stopping power.

In spite of its large size, the Q8 only seats 4 people, whereas the smiliarly sized Q7 seats 7. The emphasis seems to be on maximum roominess for a limited number of people.
