Introduced in the 2014 model year, the Alfa Romeo 4C is a smaller and far more affordable sports car loosely based on the limited-edition 8C. While the 4C is a full production car, sales have been fairly limited. Its uncompromising design with no power steering is primarily of interest to sports car purists, and this means that sales are miniscule relative to outwardly similar but more refined cars like the Porsche Boxster. No doubt the exclusivity and purity of the lightweight sports car are part of its appeal.
Power comes from a dual-intercooled and turbocharged 1.75 liter inline-4 producing 237 hp @ 6000 rpm and 258 lb-ft of torque @ 2200 rpm. That is good for a time of 0-62 mph in 4.1 seconds.
New for 2018 are black leather seats with yellow accent stitching, and an optional front fascia with carbon fiber vents.
