2016 Lamborghini Centenario Roadster

When Lamborghini debuted its spectacular Centenario Coupe in Geneva, it announced that it would also be selling a roadster version, each to be limited to 20 examples. Both cars promptly sold out, and now Lamborghini is revealing the open top Centenario to the world.

The Roadster is virtually identical to the coupe in most specs, with a 6.5 liter V12 producing 770 naturally-aspirated horsepower, as well as rear-wheel steering on the AWD car. At low speeds, the rear tires turn in the opposite direction of the steering angle, which simulates a reduction of the wheelbase and offers a tighter turning circle. But at high speeds, the rear tires turn in the same direction as the front steering angle, which simulates a longer wheelbase offering greater vehicle stability. The cars magneto rheological suspension and Lamborghinin Dynamic Steering add to the car's outstanding handling characteristics.

Overall, the Centenario offers a car that is both technologically & stylistically extreme, and traditionally in line with the company's design language going back decades, at least to the Countach. The car is a fitting celebration of the centenary of the company's founder, Ferrucio Lamborghini.
