2007 Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano

Jump to Images

The 599 GTB marked a significant styling departure from its predecessor the 575M Maranello, as well as a significant boost in power, from 508 hp up to 612 horses. The 599 upheld the tradition of a front-engine rear drive V12 Ferrari with a naturally aspirated engine going back to cars like 365 GTB/4 Daytona and restarted in modern times with the 550 Maranello. The design was created by Pininfarina under the direction of Ferrari's own designer Frank Stephenson.

This car is one of only 30 produced worldwide with a 6 speed manual with the traditional Ferrari gated shifter.

This car will be sold by Mecum Auctions in Monterey, California on August 18-20, 2016, right before the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance on August 21.

This beautiful 2007 Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano is one of only 20 imported into the United States equipped with the rare 6-speed manual transmission with the trademark gated shifter (a mere 30 of these 6-speed-equipped cars were produced worldwide). The 599 continued the Ferrari tradition of a front engine, rear-wheel-drive sports model clothed in a fastback coupe with a long-hood and short-deck configuration. The basic architecture harks back to many iconic Ferrari models, including the 250 GT SWB, the 275 GTB, the 365 GTB/4 Daytona and its predecessor, the 575 Maranello. The 599 GTB Fiorano is much more than just an upgraded 575 Maranello. In fact, it was the Ferrari Enzo that was used as the benchmark in the development of the 599 GTB Fiorano. The naturally aspirated 6.0-liter V-12 engine is sourced directly from the Enzo—although in slightly detuned form—and produces a potent 612 horsepower. The performance figures validate its Enzo bloodline with a top speed of 205 miles per hour and a 0 to 60 time of 3.5 seconds. The 599 suspension underwent major transformation with the incorporation of magneto-rheological shock absorbers. These magnetic dampers can detect road conditions and suspension dynamics on a real-time basis and react within milliseconds with optimal compression and rebound. The improvement to both handling and comfort is transformative. The name 599 Fiorano is derived from both its displacement of 5999cc and the Fiorano circuit, the 1.9-mile Ferrari test track that consists of 15 turns. This Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano presents beautifully in classic Rosso Corsa with black leather interior and has undergone a recent major service. Showing 17,835 miles on the odometer, the car is accompanied with the tool kit and car cover. These days it is rare when one can find a late-model V-12 Ferrari with a gated shifter—this 599 GTB Fiorano can fulfill those dreams.
