Specifications

(from AC Schnitzer Press Release)  Consequent sporting and even more uncompromising - The BMW M5 Saloon by AC Schnitzer

It celebrated its world premiere at the IAA 2011. There the BMW M5 Saloon was launched and one thing was immediately clear: if you insist on a saloon but still want sporting driving, this is the car for you. With the AC Schnitzer special equipment presented at the International Motor Show in Geneva, the M5 Saloon is now even more powerful and sporting.

The tuning experts from Aachen have increased the performance of this Power Five-Series to 456 kW / 620 HP with an extra control unit. With its top speed of 305 km/h and a maximum torque of 790 Nm, you can't pass this vehicle by - in every sense of the phrase! A glance under the bonnet at the AC Schnitzer engine and engine bay styling shows why: this is where the specialists have been at work. Acoustically too, the M5 is convincing with its AC Schnitzer twin sports silencer with valve control, visually crowned with the chromed "Sports Trim“ tailpipes.

Fans of sporting driving will be well served by the M5 by AC Schnitzer. Developed on the race track and built for daily use, this vehicle combines high performance with maximum suitability for everyday use. With the AC Schnitzer suspension spring kit, the Aachen-based tuning experts have ensured that precision and control take priority even in physically exceptional driving situations. Motorsport feeling is further reinforced by the AC Schnitzer wheel and tyre sets. Options are the Type VIII racing and forged alloy rims in 21 inch, Type V forged alloy wheels in 20 inch and Type IV BiColor rims in the same size. Fitted with corresponding tyres, every start is a leap onto the winner's podium.

Aerodynamic components are an essential element of a sporting vehicle. With the AC Schnitzer
carbon front spoiler, chromed front grille, rear roof spoiler, rear spoiler and carbon rear diffusor, the M5 offers maximum driving dynamics and agility and would cut a fine figure even on the North Loop of the Nürburgring. The "Magic Blue“ and silver livery, the AC Schnitzer badges for the side and the AC Schnitzer logo "ACS5 Sport“ visually complete the aerodynamic power pack.

The driver also enjoys an elegant racing atmosphere in the interior of the ACS5 Sport. Interior trims and steering wheel spokes have been finished in "Magic Blue“ to match. The AC Schnitzer "Black Line“ aluminium cover for the "i-Drive" system controller and the aluminium pedals with matching foot rest, and floor mats in velours, ensure that the extraordinarily sporting character of this car is maintained systematically through to the interior.

So if you want to be at the forefront in terms of elegance and sports performance, check out the new BMW M5 Saloon. But if that's not enough, you'll have absolutely no competition in the AC Schnitzer ACS5 Sport Saloon.
