(from Cadillac Press Release)  D3 CADILLAC INTRODUCES NEW CADILLAC STS PERFORMANCE PACKAGE

Giving The Germans a Run For Their Money!

(Signal Hill, California – July 25, 2008) D3 Cadillac, leading supplier of world class Cadillac high-performance and styling components announces the new 2006-2008 Cadillac STS and STS-V Performance Package Upgrades.

Like all Of D3’s performance and exterior upgrades, the performance packages offered for the Cadillac STS and STS-V blend perfectly with the car, adding performance and handling that is exhilarating while retaining the car’s reliability and every day drivability. To prove this, a D3 enhanced 2007 STS-V was recently driven in hot LA traffic to a track for some performance tests in less than ideal conditions. In spite of temperatures in the 90’s, the car never missed a beat as it recorded 0-60 times of 4.4 seconds and ran the quarter mile in 12.5 seconds at 112 MPH. After a day of testing the car was then driven back through even hotter and more congested traffic without a complaint.

The car that ran these tests contained D3 Cadillac’s “Stage 2” engine power package. This package boosts HP to 570+ HP (the test car had 575 HP) and torque to 500+. The Stage 2 engine power package includes upgraded Spark Plugs, Boost Pulley Upgrade, Intercooler Upgrade, and new ECU tune. This package requires a PCM reflash to maximize tune and engine potential. Not only does it increase engine performance, it also focus on increasing engine efficiency, both thermal and fuel. The results are constant repeatable performance that will not fade like common supercharged vehicles.
The Stage 2 engine power package is one of four different power package offered by D3, each providing more performance. The ultimate package is the Stage 3 which is customized to the owner’s tastes and yields in excess of 600 HP. Also offered are individual component upgrades to the air intake system, the intercooler, the spark plugs, the ECU system, the exhaust system, the supercharger, and more.

To provide braking and handling that match the car’s enhanced power, D3 provides many options. These include:

  • Suspension lowering for improved cornering and a great “look”.
  • Several brake system upgrades including complete packages as well as component upgrades to rotors, pads, and brake lines.
  • Several wheel and tire options to maximize performance and look.

The car in the recent test had D3’s “Big Brake” upgrade package which includes 8-piston front calipers, 4-piston rear calipers, and 15” high performance drilled/slotted rotors. Wheels are Forgeline 3-piece performance 20” with Proxy Toyo Tires. For a complete list of all upgrades, go to www.D3cadillac.com .
