2005 Cheyv Cobalt Phase 5

(from General Motors Press Release)  For performance enthusiasts who want to race on the quarter-mile, Chevrolet offers a solution: the Cobalt Phase5 Drag Racer. The individual components of this front-wheel drive race car – many of them available from GM Performance Parts – have been designed for straightforward installation, enabling racers to customize their vehicle as budget and time allow.

The Cobalt Phase5 Drag Racer is powered by a 500-horsepower 2.2-liter Ecotec engine, and mated to a race-prepared Hydra-Matic 4T65-E automatic transmission. All of the modifications made to this drag race Cobalt are detailed in the GM Sport Compact Build Book, which is available through GM Performance Parts dealers or online at www.gmtunersource.com.
