1995 Chrysler Atlantic Concept

Specifications

The Chrysler Atlantic take its name, and much of its inspiration, from the Bugatti Atlantic coupes of the 1930s.  Power comes a 4 liter, 32-valve straight 8 made from two Neon 4 cylinders.  The front wheels measured a then-massive 21 inches in the front and 22 inches in the rear.

There were rumors at the time that the vehicle would be put into production, but it is highly unlikely that Chrysler ever intended to mass-produce this concept.  However, in 2001 Chrysler did introduce the Crossfire concept, which went into production shortly thereafter.  So there were likely rumblings during this period, or shortly thereafter, for Chrysler to produce a retro, art deco-looking coupe to serve as a company flagship.
